on this day 4 years ago, our sweet maya meadow, you joined us on this earth. born from my body and into our arms here at home in our bed. where we two became three...



what an immeasurable gift you are! and oh what things you came to teach us. so connected the three of us are - you, your papi and i. we knew you were there, long before you were. and you came to us just as it was always meant to be. you are beauty and joy and light. the very meaning of life. and we love, honor and respect all that you are and ever will be. happy birth day, our sweet maya meadow! this is your day!

    Awww. Awwwwww. I think I'm late with the birthday wishes, but nevertheless...

    In heaven shines a golden star
    An angel led you from afar
    From heaven high unto the earth
    And brought you to your house of birth...

    ... And the angel led the child across the rainbow bridge saying, "Joy and laughter you may bring, to everyone and everything."

    And on the earth a child was born, and the parents looked at the child and said, "Look at this precious gift from the heavens. We shall name her Maya."

    Just my favorite lines of the birthday story I used to tell in the Kindergarten. :-)

    teachinghandwork - fairy sisters, indeed! born only a few minutes apart from one another (maya was born at 8:04am) on the same day 4 years ago! and both with brown hair and blue eyes? wow, what a wondrous and amazing thing! they will have to meet someday. :) and to know we were birthing these two, in our own homes, at the same time 4 years ago...my birthing sister!
