yes, we can...

change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. we are the ones we've been waiting for. we are the change that we seek.

~ president-elect barack obama

i am filled with happiness and hope for the future. for our children.
and for our world...

yours in gratitude, thankfulness, joy and hope...

this post of yours was at the top of my Google Reader list this evening. Directly after it was one by a woman whose heart was heavy and sad because of the election result. Such different impressions! It seems to me that, however you voted, Obama makes a powerful message. WE can be the change we want to see in the world. And the hope so many Americans are feeling tonight has more power than any one man in any office.

Your dd is so lovely, btw.

How fortunate we all are to participate and witness this. This was the 1st time I ever voted! How wonderful for our children too, they are now able to say I want to be president and we can truly say "YES YOU CAN!"

the enthusiasm of my little ones for this election just about matched my own.

they saw something they had not seen in their mama for awhile, hope and pride.
